Privacy Policy

Layra is designed to work fully offline. It collects no personal information, contains no ads, no tracking, and no analytics, and does not require an account.

The short version

Everything you do in Layra — your sessions, scores, and streaks — is measured and stored only on your device. We (the developer) have no servers and receive none of your data. The only feature that ever leaves your device is the optional Game Center leaderboard, which is handled entirely by Apple.

Information we collect

None. Layra does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user account managed by us.

Data stored on your device

To function as a training tool, Layra saves your activity locally on your device using Apple’s on-device storage:

• Session results and reaction-timing measurements
• Your Neural Response Score, per-game scores, and history
• Streak and progress state
• App settings and preferences

This information never leaves your device unless you choose to use Game Center (see below). It is not accessible to us. Deleting the app permanently removes all of this data.

Game Center (optional)

If you sign in to Apple Game Center, Layra submits a single number — your best Neural Response Score — to the leaderboard, so you can compare with other players. Nothing else is submitted. This is entirely optional; the app is fully functional without it, including in airplane mode.

Game Center is an Apple service. Any data you share through it is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, not by us. We do not receive your Game Center identity or personal details.

Network use

Layra uses the network for a single purpose: to detect whether you are online, so it can queue a Game Center score submission for when a connection is available. No data is sent to any server operated by the developer — there are none. There are no third-party SDKs, advertising networks, or analytics services in the app.

Challenge links you share with a friend carry the whole challenge inside the link itself. There is no server round-trip and no record of who you played.

How your ranking is calculated

Any comparison Layra shows you against a wider population is computed on your device against reference data bundled with the app. Your scores are not uploaded to produce it, and it is not a live ranking of real players.

Children’s privacy

Layra does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Because no data is collected or transmitted by us, there is nothing for us to store or expose.

Data retention and deletion

All Layra data lives on your device. To delete it, delete the app. Game Center scores are managed by Apple; you can control them through your Game Center account settings.

Not a medical device

Layra is a training and measurement tool, not a medical device, and makes no health claims. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and no result it shows is a health claim.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
